14,000 Feet
Pastoral Fellowship
The community and resources we need to help steward what God is doing in our lives!
GRASSROOTS PASTORAL FELLOWSHIP
It started one morning in our quiet time when the Lord spoke to us through the passage in Deuteronomy 34, where He tells Moses to climb to the top of Pisgah Peak. Before taking his last breath, Moses would view the expanse landscape that the Israelites were promised and would soon possess. After reading that passage, which had a peak similar to the one in view from our own backyard, Pike’s Peak, which even occasionally ascends above the clouds at a towering 14,000 feet, Jenny felt the Lord say, “Drive up Pike’s Peak today, I want to tell you something.” So that’s what we did!
We drove the terrifying white-knuckled 45-minute route, with its twists and turns and sheer cliff drops just feet from the tires of our vehicle, traversing its 156 bends until we reached the summit of Pike’s Peak. All this for the glimpse of an indescribable view and an expectation that God was about to speak something to us! We were not disappointed! From that vantage point, we felt as if we were on top of the world, and in truth, we nearly were! In awe of the landscape of mountains below us that stretched for hundreds of miles, the Lord spoke to us about our assignment, which required a confident YES from both of us! God chose to do all that with a step of obedience and a 14,000-foot view!
It was His view! How He saw the mission that lay before us! His plans are vast, and it is often our narrow view that limits what He wants to do in and through us! We could never experience what we saw from the valley, nor from the slope of the mountain— but only from the summit, the PEAK!
God's view is so incredible. When the Lord has an idea, He asks us to view it from His perspective with eyes of faith that see what is not yet visible to the natural eye. The journey up the mountain isn’t promised to be easy, comfortable, or even safe, but the Peak—ohh the peak is a special gift straight from the heart of God! It is in that place of oneness and solitude, He shares with us a glimpse of the eternal, and in that moment, heaven collides with earth!
Because of that surreal holy moment, we decided to name this Pastoral Fellowship 14,000 Feet. It is about helping you and us and each other ascend to God's perspective, understanding that it may cost us something— old mindsets, friendships, our plans! But a YES to His heart will open the doors to greater freedom, intimacy, and revelation, and all kinds of other things beyond the current limitations of our minds, greater than what we could ask or think!
So what is this Pastoral Fellowship about? It’s about helping one another as we step into and walk out of discipleship communities that center on knowing Jesus and helping others to come to the knowledge of Him. Making disciples that make disciples! This is a platform where we can work together to keep each other fresh in Jesus, bursting with creative ideas, and living out the book of Acts, all in the context of our homes and other small venues.
This Fellowship is for those who have already completed the “What is Church?” Course. There is a $150 annual fee to be part of the Pastoral Fellowship. There are scholarships available for those who need finanical assistence. To enquire or join, please contact one of the Grassroots Pastoral Fellowship Team below.
